Back in the Red Brigade terrorist days in Italy, one of their cops got into a gunbattle with bank robbers. On a main street at lunch hour no less! Nine bystanders on the sidewalk dead when it was done and the cop got a medal for it.

Here we would make burned toast out of the cop for even trying.

Terry, I have NO doubts these guys would love to shoot someone. When we got stopped awhile back for having our fog lights on (un-necessarily) according to them , they had us surrounded by like 5 cars and LOTS of automatic weapons. They were just looking for an excuse It was surreal at the least. Most folks would've been looking for new underwear in that situation, we've had enough experience w/border folks that we just oblige their intentions. (luckily our interpertors were nearby)

And some of them are really good with those little popgun submachine guns that the Carabineri (State Police for the rest of you) used to carry.

Little Beretta 9mm submachine gun with about an 8" barrel. Had one Carabineri pick a Hawk out of the air at 40 to 50 yards with a single shot while showing us how good the little gun was. And it wasn't with a sholder stock either.

It's funny you mentioned that, one of my staff said earlier today "they sure aren't shy strutting those guns around" - it's like "check me out, don't like it fine, Cya" These guys are definitely some "hombres"

It still is the most rediculous thing. But out in the open I would book it. The radio might be faster but with enough of a head start they can't be sure where you went.

damn, it can take a punch, good to know that when the cops lose it chasing me that htey probably won't die. I do like on ething about them, they are modular and you can change the color of the car by putting new panels on it.
