Death in family

Today I was informed that my last remaining granfather passed away. He was in france and a few days ago he had lost most of his functions and was pretty much almost in a coma, my grandma went to see him and 30 minutes after she saw him, he died in his sleep.

Even though this is very sad to me, what saddens me more is to see my father in so much emotional pain.

Harry, sorry for not getting back to you, but I found this out a little while after you called

Rooz it's just one of those awkward moments in life. You deal with it as best you can & be greatful you had the time with that person. Also the others affected (family) could probably use your help & closeness during these times. So don't over analyze it, just survive through it and you'll see alot of things in a different light. Hang in there bro...

Rooz, my deepest condolences. I personally have been fortunate enough to never experience the death of a loved one, however I can only imagine how confusing and painful it must be. Stay strong through everything and only remember the good.

And don't worry about the call, I figured something came up. I'll talk to you again later about it.

My condolences, Rooz. I've been through this a few times by now, and I found that I could stay busy by making time for everyone else in mourning; attending to others makes it easier to get through

My condolances to you and your family.

All i would like to say is i myself allready lost both by grandparents ( dads side ) not easy to forget becuase i seen them so often and was very close to them.
And well if you can be with the ones you love often, do so, it wont feel so bad when they leave this world.

still to this day i wish i would have gone to see my grandmother that last christmas but i put it off ... ( what a stupid decision she died 1 week later and i would never speak to her again, but i always like to think when all is well she is watching over or liek when i get things or i find that $5.00 on the floor stuff like that.)

But think of all the good times you had all the laughs it will make it better. OK thats enough ..see its allready gettin to me...

cheers

Take care and God Bless.

Man, the ceremony was on Sunday, it was pretty harsh on the all family, specially on my grandma... along the course of it, she was sad and all, but at the end, I just held her in my arms and she broke down, she cried her heart out to me this was way harder than I though it'd be.... and I dunno, it haden't hit me so badly until she did that... but here are some pics though...

The little Altar we made at the entrance

My direct Family (Dad's grandma, mom's grandma, Dad, Mom, Aunt, Brother) this was before like the 70ish people arrived

The apetizers...

Part of our culture is that, you make food and the people take it with them, as if they were taking a part of us with them.... And usually, Family and close friends stay to eat, but about half the people stayed and eat then left..

My niece and I
