Nope, never done it and I was alergic to cigarette smoke as a kid. So never did try. And NO desire to do either. But a cigar would be nice on special occasions. Never have done that either.

Buuuuuut, I get the 2nd hand smoke at work. Only 1 technician DOES NOT smoke. So, when they are all taking a break, its all out. They ask me occasionally if I want to finish their smoke. Uhhh, no thank you. But I do enjoy the conversation.

I did ask a interesting question because I didn't understand.....but why do they smack the new cigarette box like 10-15 times?

PLUS, when I'm out driving...and I see hot chicks cruisin' around too. I'm like....oooo a hottie. But as soon as I see the cigarette to the mouth. I speed off. Yuck!

Been smokin 11yrs and at a pack and a half a day. I tried to quit 5 yrs ago and that lasted 3 mths. I've been trying to get my frame of mind on quiting, it's hard though but i have a 4yr old daughter to think about so........It's about time. My mom smoked around me as a kid but she's been good for 20yrs, my dad still smokes and alot of my family smokes. Makes it that much harder. Been thinking about this laser treatment and acupuncture procedure that they have, 90% chance of never smokin again. It's supposed to help relieve the physical cravings. I might try that, the gum sucks but helps when u want one.

i will NEVER smoke.. EVER. its nasty and sucks your money down fast. my parents smoke around me(even my boss is nice enough to not smoke when im in his pick-up!) and i bug then majorly about what it does to you, and it usualy end up with them screaming at me because "they cant handle the truth!". its terrable... it scares my buddies out of the van because of the smell. its just a matter of time before one of them get lung cancer. i usualy cover my nose with my shirt so i dont have to smell it.

and.. if i ever start smoking(witch i WONT, but just in case..), i want lando and death2000 hunt me down and shoot me several times.

first time i smoked a cigarette i was 13. friend lived by a school and he stole a cigarette from his older brother. We smoked it, and as everyone probally knows u get that high from your first cig. Its not a stoned high, just a light feeling.
Then i decided i wouldnt ever do it again, i have twice buts thats it and im 19.

*edit*
my dad did the laser treament. He said he lost his cravings for about 2 weeks. From there you just need to get over the idea of smoking. He said its hard to drink coffee in the morning and not smoke with it. Force of habbitt is what he says.

It's called packing your smokes. It packs the tobacco tighter up towards the filter end, so you're smoking less air and more tobacco per drag. See, it's not so much how many you smoke, but how you smoke each one . . you can tell the level of addiction by the way a smoker 'pulls' on (or takes a hit from) their cigarette. This is also why some people can smoke and not get addicted; because they're 'doing it wrong', so to speak.

I smoked for a good while when I was growing up, and it was a long hard battle for me to quit. Once in a while I still go back and forth, but my running and cycling has kept it in check. It's harder than losing weight, yes, but they are similar in that you can't focus and obsess only on quiting or dieting, you have to gain new perspective on living . . don't think of it as fixing a problem, see it instead as a lifestyle change.

For you folks trying to quit, there's lots of help on the net. Give quitnet.com a try. Totally free, lots of info there, and cool forums. At first, you'll probably think the site is kinda goofy, but after you get over your denial (ha ha), you'll come to depend on its resources and the support it offers

11 years and counting... blah.. cant stand it most of the time. though i never smoke in my house or around my kids. but when im at work... holy shit, its like i cant get enough. its weird you know. as soon as i get home i very seldom have the urge. unless the wife is getting on my case about quiting smoking. then i usually go for a cruise and pick up a car&driver mag and have a smoke on the way home. i quite three times for a total of about 4 months. but i f'd up. and put 1 in my mouth and lit it.
hey, anyone can quite once, it takes a real strong person to quite several times.
but all kidding aside, if you can go a couple of days without one, you are half way there. the other half is to never pick up another one. no matter what.

Both my parents did until 2 years ago, it caused so much argument in my family that they just said fuck it and quit, me and my sister couldnt stand it anymore.. it got to the point where whenever they lit up we would flip on them, kinda funny.

I think parents that smoke around their kids should be shot, seriously, the kids have no choice but to be around the parents (in the car, etc), its one thing if it's your health, but when it comes to others, its unfair and selfish to smoke around them.

That said.. smoking sucks, smells, looks gross, smells like shit.. blehh.

Its so easy to tell if someone smokes when you meet them too, theyre hands will be all yellowish and greasy, and the smell just eminates from them.
