I say Brien you are the typical case for when general dentists extract wisdom. When I take the case, I only do straight forward cases. It sounds as if you had a straight forward experience which is great.
Vicodin or percocet are strong narcotics, don't drink alcohol, don't drive, etc.
On another note, I love shucking teeth, it is an adrenaline rush along with surgery.
My reccomendation is have your wisdom teeth pulled when you are young, you heal better and don't have to pay for it and also reccomend orthodontics because you will be much happier with straight teeth and hopefully your parents will pay for it.

Death,
You are making a huge insinuation that I enjoy dentistry because I make a good living. That is not true at all. Since I was a kid I loved working with my hands, building models, making furniture and drawing.
My dad restores cars and builds furniture and pushed me to study hard and become a professional. When I was a senior in college, I decided to pursue my PhD in Chemistry. After several years of grad school, I hated chemistry and then decided to pursue a career where I could work with my hands and with people. It happens that Dentistry fits those criteria. I love working on such a finite scale and the precision that it requires is incredible.
Not sure why you would show such negativity and make such an ignorant comment.
I was in school for 12 years, college, grad school and dental school, paid for everything myself and didn't even own a car until I was in my 20s. And it was a shitty Isuzu. I still owe $180,000 for student loans.
It took a lot of hardwork to get to where I am. No one gave me anything and I earned my way into dental school.
Don't be jealous because my job affords me the opportunity to buy a decent car.
