My younger brother is currently shopping to add to his minor collection of rides (he prefers "old iron"& classics) sent me this today - he's shopping for one of these... (take 2 theiy're small)
He's got a '60 speedster and also a series 90. I have no clue what he's looking to buy, he always stumbles across good deals. I'm sure he'll find something in Florida next week, he's upper mgmt w/Gatorade and they have annual meeting at the Rolex (they have a box w/catered food, free booze, etc..) He gets all his inside buys usually through his buds there.
I'll find out when I see him this weekend. we've been to the Scottsdale auction a couple of times but I think the Florida version is not as high end (yet).
Its the GM Futurliner. Sold for $4,320,000 US. I think it was designed to transport some display they had during the 50's about the future of cars and shit. DinanM6 will know more about it
Well we're going to check out a few rides today while the GF & I are here visiting bro & buds . I'm just looking forward to the race (Rolex) but he's got car shopping on the brain. One on his list to check out is a Porsche 930 slant nose - If you guys watch the Rolex we'll wave at you, we'll be in the "boxes" to the upper left of the start finish line.
My dad is on his way to Daytona right now. We're close friends with Wayne Taylor and Max Angelelli, the guys that won last year. One year I even got to work in the pits. It's a hell of a race.
