Google Buys Radio Advertising Firm

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4621448.stm

Google's latest move. They tried out print ads a few months ago (http://www.unitedbimmer.com/forums/thread3609.html), and now it seems they're branching out onto radio.

We'll see how it goes.

google won't go under, because like holding companies like berkshire hathaway, they only invest in already profitable companies, rather than buying a fixer upper and hoping it works.

That has nothing to do with it. If Google makes a stupid move, they could go under. They're not to the level of invincibility like Microsoft or Oracle.

I will agrue that any company has the potential to go under given bad management or people within getting too greedy and that no company is invincible. Given googles preformance lately they may very well keep growing, they may split the stock they may not, no one can say for sure.

Hum, I do consider Microsoft invincible though. I don't think anything could cause the company to go under and all their products be removed from the shelves... heh
