Im renting a house for the spring semster of college, and I want to get some good floor speakers. I want some thing that will be loud and have good build quality, Because they may take a beating in a college house. U guys have any ideas, old or new, of good brands or models

If you're planning on an "animal house" atmosphere -> down to the pawn shop and LISTEN to what they have. If you plan on keeping them "dry" I'ld be looking at Marrantz, JBLs or DLKs can be had reasonably

I have some logitech speakers for my computer, but I really need something for the livingroom/party room. basically somthing that will piss off the neighbors

I have Klipsch 2.1's and with the 8" (i think) sub, they rival most decent to high-end car sound systems.

Dude, get yourself some DJ speakers with the carpeted enclosures. They'll take a beating and will definitely piss off the neighbors.

Bose 901's and a good 2 channel amp is all you need for a great party system.
