If I'm not around here much the next few days, this post will hopefully explain why. I try not to use the forums as a blog, but you guys might like to know why I'm not answering IM's or whatever.

Recently at Penguin Studios we had a catastrophic server failure. It was a double fault, with our backup solution also failing. As a result, we lost a lot of client information, including some very valuable source code. I've been on the phone with my attorney for a while this morning going over the contract of one particular client, because he called last night threatening legal action.

In addition to all this, I'm starting to get sick, I have an SOW due for another client and I have to transition a site for Chevron, both due by Monday. (instead of working on redoing the clients' sites).

And in college these next two weeks I have 4 projects due and finals in every class.

So yeah, i'll see you guys later.

(oh, and lost topic is maybe an hour or two from being done, so it sucks I'm gonna have to put that off too)

Yeah, who is it? So we can boycott dat ass. haha People are so quick to threaten legal action, like it's going to make you work any faster. Deuche bags. I hate stupid people.

Unfortunately, and not shitting on Harry in any way, that IS the responsibility of a host, IT manager, firm...one of the most important ones; data integrity. If it were someone elses servers, the blame could be safely rolled over onto them.
