It's supposted to focus on video and voice talking. Buddy list have been bumped up to 500 buddies (finally, I've been maxed for years), there's access to 20 XM radio stations, it supports SMS messaging (cell phone text messages), and more.

By the way, if you guys ever want to chat, I'm CalliditasCastor on AIM and hmaugans@gmail.com on Google Talk.

Whoa, crazy, CRAZY upgrade.

It's so.... pretty.

I'm not sure about it yet... lots of new functionality, but it seems a lot more bulky too.

It reminds me a lot of MSN Messanger.

I've been using it for a few days now, and I really like it.

Huge, much needed upgrade over the old aim.

Ew, I just realized the memory footprint on this thing is 50MB. Ouch.

Bumping this thread to spread the amazingness. I found the memory footprint issue was a one-time thing. It's now normal again.

I've been using this new client for a while now and absolutely love it. If you're on an older version of aim... upgrade. lol

I tried it a few days ago when I got my computer working again after it crashed...again, lol. The lag was horrible so I went back to the old one, but if my computer wasn't satan incarnate, I'm sure I would like it, haha.

I downloaded it last week. I'm not a real fan of AIM, but most of my co-workers and vendors use it, so I have to run it.

I prefer Windows Messenger, but I have to say I like some of the features that Triton has (archiving a closed message etc.) and it's definitely a lot cleaner and easier on the eyes than the old AIM was. I just wish there was a way to get rid of the damn advertisements.

The only thing I didn't like was the download of Plaxo, and it took me a while to get it uninstalled and removed from my Outlook.
