close ups, my camera get all blurry when i get real close to something, even with the 'close up; mode on. action shots, if somethings moving fast it gets a little blurry. and if im driving by something and im going 40-50 MPH, everything in the pic looks all messed up and side ways, like it just got hit by a huricane. and, most important, NO AUTO FOCUS. and yes, i do plan on going into profesional photography
^^ Ok, well IF u had the money id reccomend the Nikon D70, but since u dont get the best u can afford for now. And then u can upgrade again when u have better skills and the need for a better camera/
+1, go for either the D50 from Nikon or the Canon Digital Rebel. Both will be about $600 with a lens.
The reason your shot are blurry close up, is you are closer than the minimum focus distance.
The reason your other shots are blurry is because the shutter speed is too slow.
These shots were taken with the 20D from Canon, it is the big brother to the Digital Rebel, and should give you a good comparison.
