I hate turkey. I'll eat it only if you're talking cold cuts. That's why I always bring lasagne. But if you must, here's some tips from Chef Dudesky:

Don't wash it before cooking, it does nothing. The cooking is what kills the bacteria.

Preheat the oven for at least 1hr before throwing the bird in. That makes the outside crispier and seals in the juices.

Don't baste. You'll mess up the heat opening the door all the time.

Don't stuff. It doesn't cook well & even, and that's where bacteria will thrive. Stuff afterwards.

Cover with foil only at the last hour of cooking.

Okay, that's not from me actually, but I saw it on the news last night. Figured someone may find it informative
