I seriously would consider the drive back to california.

That would be so sick..

How much do you think gas would end up costing?

probably 500-700 in gas, 55 for the oil change in california (haha), and another 500 for food, and il sleep in my car

I think it would be hard to get a group thing going but you might want to "map" a trek cross country and stop at UB bros' places, hang/party with them get some pics then roll to next bros'. Every bro would have to provide you place to crash, dinner/party and a "trinket" to prove you weren't dreaming...

Well Mass to CA is about 3000 miles. Avg. Say about 20mpg (Some hard driving in the mix) at 2.75 per gallon = 412$ one way or 824 dollars round trip.

i got 3000 sittin around so im down. it would be this summer, cause im busy for Xmas break.
I think we should do this.
as for planning..we can see who wants in and who would help with room and board...and just map it out like that.

Well someone at werkz is wrong. I showed the math right there. You can even say this: 40 bucks per fill up, 300 miles per tank. 3000 miles so 10 fillups. 10x40 = 400.

After reading some of their posts/responses @ werkz - I'm surprsed a majority of them CAN do math. Not all, but there are alot of "Richard Craniums" wandering about. I like the one re: K&N air filters (pros/cons) one clown responded "he doesn't run an air filter because he likes the sound and doesn't think engines suck that much dirt" "we don't drive through fields" I know a Nigerian banker that wants to meet this guy. (sorry I digressed) Your math is right on...

just do (3000miles x $2.50) / (20 mpg) = $375 one way.
2 way = $750

man, donald was doing it all weird... haha

Holy crap! Gas prices are retarded

you see, to raise gas prices so people dont complain for the long run... they raised it to 3 dollars, and held it for a while. then brought it down to 2.50ish, and will probably go down maybe a little more at most.
now everyone is saying that 2.50 a gallon is CHEAP... which is really is insane!
tricky gas fuckers

^^^You'll be spending less, since highway miles increase your range. I can see you guys averaging about 24-27mpg.
