I wouldnt be surprised if they actually use it. Especially since, I think, Lambourghini(sp?) donated one car to a police organization.

That looks amazingly nice. I would still hate to get pulled over by it though. I really hope they use it.

I hate getting pulled over by anything. But if it was that I might have to ask the cop to let me take a look at it and take me for a ride

The Itallian police have a bunch like that. They also have a couple of Lambos' and a small fleet of Ferraris. They have a deal with a handful of manufacturers that donate cars for something like two years in exchange for public relations & media exposure. The Brits have a program similar to it with BMW and others.

maybe for traffic control, I got a "free ride" in a Saab back to our hotel once while in Rotterdam (and it wasn't a courtesy or taxi)

What is this, a cop track car, or a cop every day "pull over" car?

They are very careful in Germany. Signal, stay right unless passing etc. Also they don't "pull over" people to the side. They signal with the bar light, signal and pass, and lead the car being stopped to an off ramp totally off the highway. FYI

In Britain, aparently British special police has an M5 with an MP5 built into the rear armrest. And at the flick of a switch it folds down and slides foreward in reach of the driver or passenger
