it runs fine. took a while to figure out the crappy directions to set it up though. I can't play on live with mine though because it sees it as a mod because i screwed my install up. but you can do it and still play live. XP isn't nearly as fast as a new pc, but its good. you get what you pay for.

Anyone know if the (old) DVD playback/remote will be compatible with the 360? Also, the old controllers (Not sure I like the idea of changing the button config)?

Sorry no, but if buy the premium package it comes with the universal media remote. And the old controllers arent compatible with the premium as i belive, but the core they may be but i highly doubt it.

I was at best buy today and they had one with Call of Duty 2 on it and it looked awsome.

yah, my buddys dad just got COD2 for his computer.. but they just left on a huge trip, so im not going to get to play it for a wile

I was not impressed by COD after playing it at best buy. It could have been the monitor it was up on, but the graphics were not as good as i had hoped they would be. Hopefully it will be 10x better in HD mode (it most likely will be), im sure it wasnt in HD mode when i played it at best buy.

That said, i think ps3 is going to own it.

Also, the gameplay console vs. cpu with COD wasnt even comarable. The gameplay was horrible on the console.

what were you somking before you walked into the store???

anyways i hope ps3 is as good if not better, because when i bought my ps2 i also bought a thing that will allow me to trade it in and get a ps3 for like a third of the price

Call of duty 2 is better on PC I think. I can make maps by myself, dont know if I could send them to an xbox?

^^ If u have a modded Xbox u can. Ever play Forza Motorsport? In that game u can use Photoshop to makle custom skins for the cars and then using a modded xbox upload them into the game.

thats cool, but im talking maps, thats different to making a skin for a car, dont know if that would be a lot harder or not? And when you say modded, do you mean a chip or something you could upload onto the hard drive?
