the Calgary Police Service currently uses those. There positioned on there belt so its easier to grab the tazer than it is the real pistol. There powerful shit, ive been shocked with 150,000 volts before and it does nothing to me, but the amperage was differnt.

150,000 volts won't give anybody a jolt unless they're grounded

a taser has high-voltage, low-amperage electrical charge, designed to disrupt a humans nerve impulses. so it basically confuses your nervous system and you become temporarily paralyzed.

it's pretty cool but in my opinion not too effective given that it has to be repacked after you use your only one shot. in most cases you can just use a stun gun, but I can see whered it'd come in handy.

yea ive allready tried gettin one. They asked if i was in Law enforcment, or some kind of security and they wanted to see some paperwork.
