I have to point out that our military exists in part to uphold and defend its citizens' constitutional right to their opinion, whether it be yours or those in SF opposed to recruitment in HS. It's one of the fundemental principles which this country was founded upon. Any serviceman can tell you that it is not their job to judge. And might I remind you that many of them are currently serving overseas, completely opposed to Operation Iraqi Freedom. If they can have an opinion, so can our citizens. Personally, I'm not happy about what's going on over in SF either, but like exjarhead said, stupidity is not a crime

wait so what are you saying... kinda missed the point, your saying that they can have their own opinions and the military should protect that?

I think he's saying that the men and women in the military have an obligation to protect citizens' rights without regard to what the citizens' opinions are. It's somewhat ironic that the citizens are using this right that the military protects to keep the military from recruiting more members.

He can have his opinion, but if I was in the military and something happened in SF, I WOULD NOT go there to help. They basically denied the military's right to advertise for it's own sake. It's hypocritical imo.

I'm not disagreeing with you guys, I'm merely stating that your suggested course of action is just as ludicrous as what's going on there in SF.

Besides, they're not gonna need you anyway, since more major military commands are headquartered in the San Francisco bay area than in any other U.S. metropolitan area. There's the Presidio, Ft. Mason, Ft. Baker, Ft. Ord, Hunter Liggett Military Reservation, Hamilton Air Force Base, Travis Air Force Base, 12th Naval District Headquarters, San Francisco Naval Shipyard, Mare, Treasure & Yerba Buena Islands, Alameda Naval Air Station, Moffet Field, the list goes on and on. True, it doesn't make it right, but If that isn't advertising, I don't know what is

Click here to set it up.
fact. schools recieve funding from the federal govt.
fact. part of that agreement is having the school open to recruiters
fact. the city passing any law is pointless and a token law.
fact. Federal laws garentee recruiters rights to be there.

ultimate fact
the recruiters will still be in the schools, and the queers have simply wasted thier time, and made themselves look like jack asses.
