Well I applied to several Schools but really wanted to Come to Michigan State University, My grades were good enough and I got in, I got lucky cause i think had I applied a year later I would not have gotten in due to higher Standards. I love this place and hopefully whereever you end up you love it.

*edit: BTW: I don't remember anything from senior year that stands out, college is just so much better.

I applied to two schools. Realized I wanted to goto one over the other, and the only way that I was going to be able to goto that school was if I got a scholarship. I got a scholarship. Thank God, because I don't have to goto High School: Part 2.

If I was going to still be around in 40 years I would almost be willing to bet that a BS alone will just get you a part time/no benifits job mopping floors somewhere. With a BA you may be allowed to clean toilets.

Forty years ago you needed a degree to be a Doctor or Lawyer or Astronaut. Almost anything else didn't require one and most places would rather hire someone that wasn"t Overeducated.

Companies would fight over Older more experienced people too. They were considered more valuable employees than young folks with education but no experience.

So if that is all assbackwards now, what will the NEXT 40 years bring to Your Future?

Good Luck on Berkely and USC!

SAT's are gay. They dont test knowledge, they test how well you take a test, which is rather poitnless to begin with. Fucking assesments.

I have a 3.8 GPA. and a ton of extra-curricular stuff and community service. Not too worried about that.

But the whole applying thing is iffy. I am trying to get my teacher's letters of recommendation right now, Do I get them then put everything in a packet and mail it. Or do I have them mail it or what?

How did everyone here apply?

I mailed my apps, I did not like the idea of doing it online, mostly becasuse you still had to get the school to mail them the transcripts, but I know plenty of people who did them online and got in no prob.

I applied to GA Tech and UGA online. (I WISH I'd applied to stanford business, not to go there but just out of curiosity to see if I'd have gotten in, but I didn't apply).

I got in both by applying online without a problem. I actually prefer that because I have an email confirmation they got it on time, and I don't have to worry about my handwriting. haha

I dropped them off at the counselor's office and they put them in the package they sent off with my transcripts. Easy enough.

You guys really dont know how hard Stanford is to get into. You need a 1600 or 2400 now and you need higher than the typcial 4.0. I had friends who had almost all AP's throughout high school, had 4.8 GPA's, had tons of extraciricular. Great AP scores. Kickass SATII scores and everything perfect including recomendations, and still got rejected. It's not easy like saying "Oh I wonder if ill get in"
