Walk Timer??

Anybody have this in their town? It's brand new over here. The walk signal counts down the seconds until the traffic light turns yellow. Not that anyone in my town pays attention to them :mad

The counting ones aren't bad, it's the ones that sing or others that play a nice tune until the "X" flashes - then the peds are fair game.

Yes, and coupled with 'Walk sign 2nd street' announcement whenever it goes to 'Walk' around my school's campus, it's really fuckin' annoying.

Wow. We don't have those here. But no one pays any attention to the lights we do have. People seem to add at least 15 seconds to the left turn green arrow :mad :bash

i hate those, they are like 20 seconds, then it tells the person to not walk anymore, then the light turns yellow, then red... what a waste, teach peopole to walk faster.... or stop eating the mcdonalds if you honestly cant walk that fast

Personally I like the ones in Las Vegas (thank you state of Nevada!!) It states in their Automotive legal statutes : If a pedestrian is hit by a moving vehicle outside of a crosswalk or in a crosswalk against the "cross sign" the driver cannot be held at liable or at fault.

See everything in Vegas is "gamblng" related, even crossing the street.
