My car cost me 500$, put about 400$ in parts into it and ive already put 20k on it with no major problems. Except I had to replace the float in the carb and the gas pump is dying out on me for 500$ I can smash it into a brick wall and not care.
How about a list on whats wrong with my car
No headliner
Driver and passanger front seats the leather is shot.
The steering wheel telescoping lock broke so it pulls in and out
The L/R wheel bearing is going
the ac belt screams but I jsut put a new one on
The paint is worse then alot of cars in junk yards
Needs rear tires
My subs make everything rattel
But other then those things it gets me places and it has AC so i dont care.
Does anyone know what the pulley itself looks like?
I've done a google/ebay search and i get a few different images....
I hear you could replace the idle pulley tesioner yourself....it's as simple as replacing the belts...
I'm less worried about labor costs/or the DIY? but I'm worried about the cost of the part?
here are two separate images I get for the search:
Mine is in excellent mechanical condition. I have zero leaks and the engine is strong, especially for being 35 years old.
However, I need new paint and some body work. Also I have a tear in my Recarro. I have some other small issues I want to get to, but I just don't have the time (or money) ATM.
