Even though it hasn't been announced yet officially... google is planning a free secure wireless internet service in the san francisco bay area, which will probably be expanded nationwide eventually.

Anyone read about this?

I have faith in google to make things fast and free to the consumer. I know, "There's no such thing as a free lunch." (<-- Econ teacher taught me something. ) I bet they would get very strong advertising support. I mean they've done an amaxing job of making things free for years, and they have programs like google earth that they could have EASILY charged hundreds of dollars per unit for.

You have three choices, stand behind our troops, grab a gun and toe the line with our troops, or stand in front of them, they can use the extra armor.

That's because adwords is so successful. They already have plenty of income, so they're doing what few other companies are.... they're still working toward their vision. Plus it's good PR.

I believe they will do it, and like harry said, knowing google it will be blazing. If they pull this off, I will be convinced that they will rule the world.
