Anybody else got the bug?

Well its happened.. i know i will probably kill myself.. but i want a goddamn bike. i never thought i would, i always thought they were just to goddamn dangerous, but the more of them i see.. the more i want.

Im thinking a used ninja 250 will serve me well.. i wont be using it on the highway much, just backroadish type area's.. so it wont really matter that its not a great high speed bike. Im thinkin im going to wait till next year after i turn 18 cause theres no way my parents will allow it now, il just go out and buy one and insure it myself.

i've had the bike bug for a while. I REALLY want a Ducati 999R race bike. fastest production bike ever. And lets make one thing clear before you call me stupid. the average M3 buyer buys it because he wants the power, not because he'll actually use it.... same concept here. I'd track it, but i definitely wouldn't ever break 100 on one on the road.

You have three choices, stand behind our troops, grab a gun and toe the line with our troops, or stand in front of them, they can use the extra armor.

theres a bike place up on windward parkway off 400 by the HHgregg that sells ducati adn they had one in there one day and they turned it on while i was looking around...the cams witht eh chain drive make for the SEXIEST low rpm rumble you've ever heard from a race bike (all mechanical and shit ) but then when it revs up, its nice and deep, totally unlike asian made bikes.

dude.. theres a difference between a fucking ducati 999R and an M3, that is a horrible comparison.

A better comparison would be the 999R and a 1000 HP supra or something rediculously fast and hard to control like that.

Even then you cant really compare bikes to cars, because they are just so much faster and so much more dangerous.

Those bikes are to fast for the street man.. only people that have been riding for years should even think about stepping onto one of those, ive heard countless horror stories of guys buying R1's and crashing them 30 seconds after coming off the lot just because they cannot control them.

If I quote everyone I know that rides, they'll say that's a bit small, and you'll outgrow it fast as your skills progress. I thought about getting one a while back, and they all told me to go with about 5-600cc . . small enough to start, but enough umph to satisfy you for quite a while. Even if you're not going for breakneck speed (that's good to hear), you still want a little go go. Anyhow, it's a good move, what with the gas prices nowadays.

I have the bike bug too, if i lived someplace where it was nice year round I think I would have one. But until then i'm sticking with a car. And yes If i had one I would be so careful on it, cause the second you loose respect for the bike is the second that you bite it.
