I saw some of the video today and in some areas it looks like places were just bombed, every window blown out. Its definitly going to take some time to clean up.

Ya this has been a pretty bad dissasster, i am just amazed at the response times in getting people out and safe..the amount of deaths has been reduced soo much with todays technology

if you want to be mad at anyone for gas prices be angry with china..they are using WAYYYYYY more gas than before, therefore...demand is rising, supply is dropping prises are skyrocketting

^^True, but we still use more gas than any other country in the world. In Europe, they're pissed at us as they pay upwards of $7-8Euro per liter.

When i was reffering to the 'them' i meant the gas companies. Im aware the whole reason this shit is happening is because theres a new demand for oil that simply wasnt there before - china, but honestly alot of it is hype and they are raising the prices for no reason other than people are stupid, and they connect the iraqi war and hurricanes with gas prices... they can raise the prices because people will pay them.

I must have heard that shit about the hurricane raising prices 20 times on the radio this week before katrina hit, im sure it was all over the news too, say something enough times and people start to beleive it.
