Dream System!!!!

Sony does the damn thing once again!

Just saw it at circuit city...500 watts!!!
To give you an example of how loud this is...
the clerk turned the volume up to 50% and the Bass was so loud..that wind was coming out of the speakers....
I mean wind! Not a draft, not a breeze...but wind!!! :bowdown :bowdown :bowdown
They want $399 for it.....looking on Ebay right now :spin

400 bucks aint bad. should be enough for ya!
its looking pretty cool.
i wish someone gave me a few grand for a system for my room.. haha
i would have a crazy reciever, speakres all around, and of course, a sub to make my bed a vibrating bed.. hehe

ya, my aiwa cd player dealy works well, and thats just 2 sets of 3 way speakers:tweeters, mid range speakers, and small subwoofers.. good enough for the room..

go for it unless you find something you like more

my uncle gave me 4 speakers with a 10" sub, a 5" midrange and a 3" tweeter in all 4 of em. to with those speakers he gave me a 240 watt ampliefier with a 6-disk CD changer. Its so freakin loud. The vlume setings on the amp range from 1-5. With 5 being the loudest, i cant have it past 1 or my mom will freak out cause its so loud.

Im considering selling 2 of the speakers, il post pics if requested

not to be hating /flaming, but in all honesty, i could never understand loud speakers, i mean, if you want to listen to any sort of audi, for me, normal, calm volume was fine, i could never understand how people could be sitting in their cars with the volume cranked all the way up, windows closed, and from the bass, you are in the car next to them with your windows closed as well, and you can hear the music fine, and your car shakes

sorry to make a generalization, but a lot of times im in the middle of the city, or the hood, whichever you call it, and i see stuff like that all the time, and if an individual( i guess im not going to make the generalization but you know what im talking about) has a car thats worth less than a grand, he has chrome spinners than are worth 4x as much as the car, and he has a speaker system that is also worth more than the car.. so funny

brien4787 08-27-2005 11:07 PM

its just nice to have good speakers... doesnt mean you have to put them to the highest level, they are not supposed to be.

xsperf 08-27-2005 11:27 PM

heh, well some people do and i can never understand that

I think building a real home system is better.. with a huge ass sub hidden somewhere, really really good speakers mounted in places that will help make the system sound better.. you could easily go nuts a drop like 2 grand on this kinda stuff..

ive got a nice surround system with a nice big sub for the TV, but it sounds really good when i pop a music CD in the PS2..

for the 1st time i agree with brien!
Xperf, Just because I'm a black guy buying 500 watt system doesn't mean I'm out to have the entire state of FL listen to my Modest Mouse and boring ass Electronica music with me!

It's also the feautures and stuff like MP3 playback...plus..I may have some parties and barbecues and don't want to drive back to NYC to borrow Mommy's 700 watt Bose System that fits in her purse!

B3M2W5i 08-28-2005 12:28 AM

yeah home theater systems rock i have BOSE center channnel, BOSE 701 tower speakers<pair>, BOSE rear speakers, and BOSE 901 speakers<pair>, also a nakamichi receiver.. i paid for the first 3 and my dad bought the last two before his passing.. but man they sound damn good when watching a movie or listening to music..

delmarco 08-28-2005 12:36 AM

Bose's are awesome...my Mom has this set..the speakers look no bigger than ice cubes...but the shits say 700 watts on the box when we set it up in the den last year...my brother and I were laughing our asses off :lmao :lmao ...but my Mom kept saying she paid alot of dough for it and was ready to take it back... :dunno

anyway we were done we put is some Ja Rule...and it was freaking amazing! :bowdown :bowdown :bowdown

Too bad those tiny ass systems are like the price of my car... :doh

B3M2W5i 08-28-2005 12:40 AM

well i paid $900 but most of the ones i bought were refurbished

Longhairedhippy 08-28-2005 01:25 AM

i was never a fan of the "boxed" sound systems that you buy all at once. In our home theater we have a Pioneer 6.1 surround reciever with a Bose sub an Polk Audio speakers. I don't know the exact wattage, but i watched "Band of Brothers" the other day and I was ducking for cover.

gotKRAUT 08-28-2005 03:04 AM

im running 4 custom towers with 8" subs and mids and tweaters for home entertainment..somewhere around 1000watts for the living room...and thats weak you should see my brothers house...

Dudesky 08-28-2005 12:01 PM

You guys haven't heard anything till you hear B&W's . . only wish I could afford them.
