well, i'm leaving united bimmer ........

for the week. i'm off to go represent Georgia at the largest national roller hockey tournament thats ever been staged. teams from 49 states competeing in 12 different age groups. you do the math....

the thing that makes this tournament so cool is that unlike most tournament teams, the coach is picked after you earn your spot. the tournament directors send three reps to each state for tryouts and judge you and pick the teams then the coaches are named. this means that you can't make the team because of your name (none of the judges are from your state) so you have to make it based on pure skill. 60 people tried out for my age group.... 9 people and one goalie made it.

the rink the tournament is at is the worlds largest roller hockey facility with 4 rinks, volleyball courts, weight training facilities, a lake with watersports and submerged training, etc.

i'm out ... see you in a week. i'll be on from time to time, when i'm not playing/sleeping/training

change of plans... leaving in the morning. but still leaving.

Alaska isn't coming. HI has a ton of teams somehow...

leaving in morning because coach scheduled a practice tonight and one tommorow morning.

we were notified whether we made the team or not ten minuets after the second tryout session. as you can see by my soaked hair, they took taht picture no more than twenty minutes after i had gotten off the rink. i didn't even have a chance to change. i just took off my jersey and threw on a t-shirt for the pic. i'm still wearing the rest of my gear. but i look llike a serial killer because at the end of the (fucking two hour long) second tryout session i took a shot to the back of my bad knee and it hurt like a mother, i was trying not to grimace in that pic.
