It could be both. Maybe the design represents propellers and the colors are taken from the flag?

As others said, the colors are there due to the propeller being white and the sky being blue...

btw to the basis of this thread, I would like to say that I am really glad you guys made this site! the atmosphere is a lot better, more open and friendly, the other one was getting too crowded by little pricks.

Don't look at it like that. There is only positives here. United Bimmer will be as successful as bmw-forums should have been... competing head on with bimmerforums and dtm power. This forum is bmw-forums improved, and there's only a bright future because of it.

For example, we're in the process of setting up free @unitedbimmer.com email accounts for all the members... and we're setting up a photobucket type system for allowing all members to store up to 100MB of pictures/videos/sigs/etc for use on this site.

thank god there is finally an alternative to BMW-forums/ Bimmerwerkzzzz/ whatever the name will be next week, that forum has been sliding down a steep slope for a long time.
