Haha, assuming there was a future to return to. I have a feeling if nukes were developed a thousand years earlier than they were, either we'd have hit a major war by now and everyone would be dead, or there would have been another super weapon developed (1000 years of research on top of an atomic bomb...) and one would be fired taking a nice size chunk out of the planet. haha
