Student Loan Help

Anyone out there that knows anything about student loans please help.
My dad, being the worthless POS that he is isn't getting anything done and i'm quickly approaching my deadline for tuition to be paid. I talked to my mother and we decided that i'm just going to hae t pay for teh rest of my tuition in the form of student loans. The only problem is i don't know how to go about applying for them!

HELP! what do i do?

You have three choices, stand behind our troops, grab a gun and toe the line with our troops, or stand in front of them, they can use the extra armor.

Mine is 24 hours away. Call the financial aid office. They will tell you about the specific statewide student loans in your state availible. Tiny scholarships help jackshit. Then see if you qualify for a student loan w/ or w/o interest. I had to do the same thing for my school in Missouri.

Also, declarign yourself independent from your parents will also be a better way to get larger loans and mroe likely without interest. This is a bit of a difficult process but it may be well worth it. I wasnt able to declare myself independent and right now I am dependent upon large scholarships from my school and some student loans.

Honestly the best way to handle it is ask your financial aid office, they know all the loans and which one may be your best bet.

im paying off a car loan right now, not as bad as a student loan but still shitty. Just go apply at your local bank if your 18. My bank was really nice and all i have to do is pay off the intest on the loan is month, so i get to choose how much i pay off at a time. it works great for me

As a current college student I would suggest filling out a FAFSA, and also contacting the financial aid department for your school and see if they can do anything for you. Also you could probably walk into most banks and talk to someone there about a student loan and see what they could do.

Oh yeah and fill out a fafsa first. Almost all organizations want to see it. it's pretty universal even if you dont get any money directly from fafsa. Thanks for putting that out guys!

fafsa is useless because my useless dad didn't do the taxes so that ended up being a waste of time so i'm disassociating myself from him and doing things myself...

I have the same issue as you. My dad is trying to force me out of school by not helping at all with tuition. He wants me to go to a local CC. Stick in there, i'm still scrambling around for money to pay off my bill that comes in about 3 weeks. I have a appointment setup with my bank, i'm goign in on thursday!
