Charlie and The Chocolate Factory

I went and Saw Charlie and the Chocolate factory tonight with the family. Its officially my favorite movie of all time. I honestly think that its Johnny Depp's best performance ever.

Some of you might think that you're too old to see this movie. Thats not the case. Its something you can take kids to, but at the same time due to the dark undertones of the movie, its also a movie that adults will enjoy (i can vouch for this).

I read this review about the movie and here's some interesting facts.

When they filmed the movie, the Oompaloompa is the same guy for all of them.

The squirrels are not fake. they actualy trained 20 real squirrels to sit on stools and chew nuts. They also trained the squirrels to do the other parts of that scene (trying not to spoil)

There's nothing at the very end so don't sit through the credits like i did.

I find it funny that they took the intelligent human actor and copied him, yet they went and trained 20 dumb squirrels to do one scene.....

Who can be the first person who can come back and describe the edward scissorhands reference in the movie?

okay. here's the EDIT: Edward Scissorhands reference. When Willy Wonka has the flashback of him opening the factory and cuttingg the red ribbon, he doesn't use normal scissors. instead, he used the scissorhands from edward. I didn't catch it at first either, then my mom pointed it out to me.

(for anyone who didn't see edward scissorhands, willys whole right hand is a giant pair of rusted scissors)

I havent seen it yet, and I am dissapointed, this is why:

When they said "Charlie and the Chocolate factory" i thought it was gonna be the story after Charlie got the factory, not just a friggen remake of the old one..thats what angered me.

BUt if you guys say its good, then i guess I will have to go see it.

they dance and sing every time a child goes away. the ways they go are far funnier (same but performed better) than the first one.....

my ONLY complaint is that there's no Oompaloompa song "oompa Loompa Oompity DOO..."

the original was awesome like the wizard of oz was awesome.

This one is weird and a little twisted, which is why I loved it.

I recommend it to anyone.
