Been gone for a while

So in the last month i've finished highschool and my associates degree, taken a two week road trip to california, stayed in montana for a week, and entertained my many relatives. So now that's all over, my cousins just left this morning.

I also started a new job. finally something i get paid real money for... I work for Korvan. we build berry harvesters (raspberry, blueberry, grape and coffee). It kinda sucks right now cause they give the new guy the shitty jobs. but that'll only last a short amount of time. And i gotta get up at 5am, that kinda blows, but it's not as bad as i thought it was.

anyways. i'm finally back now. i feel completely out of the loop, i'm sure a lot has happened in the last month.

Ben

You didn't miss much.

We crossed the 30k post mark and I bought just about every computerized gadget possible for my car (see the e36 forum). hehe

There was a paint-your-calipers-red campaign for a bit. Um.... not sure what else. haha, not much.

The Naiz's won!

1. There are some pretty cool "kill" stories
2. And ROOZ is on a never ending quest for rims. (I think he's on like his 15th different set)

well here's a nice welcome back present i got. last night my car overheated pretty bad. so i pulled over and waited with it idling for a while, to let it try to cool down. it started to, then heated back up again. i opened the hood and there was coolant bubbling out of the cap on the resivior! I then got some water from a random house on the side of the road, b/c my coolant was now all on the street. and still nothing helped. so i slowly got to a gas station and left it there over night. now today i had it towed to the shop. so next week hopefully it'll be back and my pockets won't be too empty! anyone know what could be wrong?

A number of things could be wrong.. but i would bet your going to have to replace your head gasket now.

here are you possible problems in order of probability...

thermostat, fan clutch, fan switch, blocked cooling system, etc.

BTW, quick fact that most don't know: when you over heat, all of the chemicals in teh coolant are released out of the coolant/water mix. So you then have to fill her back up again with more coolant or you will just be SOL all over again.
