he was not a nazi but a member of the hitler youth is what i read. and for those of you who do not know, hitler youth was basically german boy scouts while nazis were in power

actualy. i believe more germans have been pope than any other nationality. so a german pope isnt that uncommon. as for the nazi. alot of people were "nazi's" this was dont in a lot of cases for protection from prosecution. where people would just say they were nazis though not believe in it or practice it.
