Found myself pondering(Timeline of a restoration Nutt)
Well as many of you know i started off an E30 guy over in BMW-Forums now with a horrible name...but i have moved over to the other end of germany and rejoined my VW past...the project rocco has gone through many phases....this is her in all her glory just inches away from completion....before and after and current mods:

So whats in my furure you ask? i have fallen in love....I'm currently on the hunt for an E34 540i 6speed...and well imagine what i could do with that :D Any thoughts comments suggestions greatly appreciated :) the rocco's been a lot of work and its been a long road from the $500 car i had to trailer home... |
Man, the more V-dubs I see, the more I want one.
Always been a big fan of 'roccos, mk1 and 2 GTi and corrado. I want a corrado badly. |
ya the corrados are fun, but a LOT of work...im a dubber for life (BMW/VW) they truly are the best of both worlds (RWD/FWD)
|
I drove my cousin's Corrado many times. Always enjoyed. Very big blind spot though! This car is the super charged model, quite a bit less boost lag than the Volvo 740 turbo my dad used to have :drive2

ya the corrado G60(supercharged 1.8 8V SOHC) is the base model and are crap stock...but either have to rebuild the supercharger to stage 4 or replace it with a twin screw type or else replace them every 10,000miles just about...they are very poor designed superchargers...the Corrado VR6's are much more fun if you are going light mods :) i had a corrado supercharger on the scirocco for a while but i just wasnt impressed and it raised my oil pressure way too much so im saving for the bahn brenner twin screw charger...good for about 20PSI on demand with NO lag... :) point being...corrados are pretty...but not much more than a good car to get parts off of for a A1 rabbit, scirocco, cabriolet or A2 Golf, GTi, or jetta...they are just too heavy of a FWD car to do much with...FWD sucks unless you keep it light.. |
bah no love for my project...its all good :)
|
That's an impressive list of mods though. You're very dedicated to that car, haha.
|
I'll pay-pal you a dollar to put both wipers back on.
|
iv always loved those cars.... very cool. :rock
oh and yours too..... very nice, i like |
There is a corrodo in my area in laguna seca blue(like the E46 M3) and has euro tailights and its sick...corrodo's are badass..nice car Kyle

Amazing job on that car. I am truly looking forward to seeing you turn an E34 540i into a project.

not the greatest shot but you get the idea...the fuzzy seat covers are gone but the stock recaros remaaain undercovers for protection :) plus they look a little tired and need new apholstry but im not much of an interior guy...suspension and no interior is my ideal but i daily drive it... Note: 3 VDO Gauges are Volts, Oil Press, Oil Temp..considering relocating the deck lower and installing another 3 gauge panel :) Edit: Its very dirty sorry haha its not usually that dirty |
nice car man
