Yes Idiots do bring these things down on the rest of us. Two kids a class behind me in school decided to build the ultimate firecracker. Big enough to knock down a tree no less It went off while they were finishing up putting in the fuse.

IIRC they had 10 fingers, 2 eyes and one functioning ear between them when the dust settled. The tree was still standing

Today we would call their Firecracker a Pipe Bomb but what the hell, it was just a couple of kids having fun

For as long as I've lived in GA, fireworks have been illegal (which is BS), but this year, for the first time, they've made "shower of sparks" fireworks legal. Basically anything that sits on the ground and shoots sparks everywhere is fine.... it just can't shoot projectiles. Not as fun, but better than nothing.

I think they should make fireworks completely legal in every state and just call those people who blow themselves up stupid.

The show in Aventura (North Miami) was even better than I had hoped! The finale may have been nearly half the ordinance total! YAY! That is what makes a great fireworks show!

i went to stone mountain for fireworks... freaking awesome. i was talking to the guys, and they said they had brought 2 and a half million dollars worth of fireworls... the grand finale was over 5 minutes long! and the sound of the concussion bombs reverberating off the side of teh granite face was flippin sweet
