we always talk about guitar players and whos great... well i play bass also so lets hear it... not asking for the best.. but the most unique...

i would have to say

Flea (chilli peppers)
Fieldy (korn)

and okay fine one of the best geddy lee!!

les claypool (from the band primus)..wow this guy is nuts.

flea is also a great bass player

jaco pastorius, and marcus miller, also known as some of the best in time.

im not sure if you should call it either unique, or just shitty.
it shoulds like he is throwing dimes and quarters at his damn pickups

Les claypool is my favorite for sure

when i bought primus shitty new cd... it came with a dvd... watching that was so awesome... just seeing him play just makes me want to pick up my bass and pretend that i am remotely close to being taht good.

i deffinatly agree with Les! but also P-Nut from 311 is rather nice :) and then of course there is always my Friend Dorian who i think is one of the most amazing players ever, ill see if i can some audio of him to put up on here!

I agree with Les Claypool but if you are truly a bass enthusiast, you gotta get Victor Wooten - "A show of hands". That guy is by far the best bassist I have ever heard. He is so fast that it sounds like 3 or 4 people are playing when it is really only him.

If you have never heard of him, you gotta check him out.

stu hamm is amazing too... i have an amazing clip of him just playing live for like 8 minutes.... how can i host it? its really amazing
