So My girlfriend (the one whose pops has the S55 AMG) Just lent her '00 Dodge Neon to her best friend who wanted to go mall and grocery shopping for her graduation party today. Anyway that was Wednesday Night...so last night we go to pick her car up....

1)Her car smelt of rotten fish...so strong it left a smell on her clothes!
-Apparantly her g'friend bought frozen raw fish and shrimp for the party and forgot it on the front passenger seat for a few hours whiles shopping on the hottest day of the year (remember that 101 F degree day on thurday when my OBC read out 106 F)

2)Her check engine light was on...due to the AC malfunctioning and her g'friend's uncle trying to play with the compressor to fix it.
Somehow the car's computer malfunctioned and the AC fan is stalled.

3) Her front rotors are somehow warped beyond comprehension and needs to be replaced along with the pads....

So she just now got the estimate from the Mechanic:

$200 AC service/diagnosis

$300 for brakes pads/rotors/service

$585 to replace engine computer

TOTAL: $1085 oh yeah....plus taxes !

My g'friend has the money and paid the guy but that was suppose to be our 4th of July Vacation fund...My g'friend was crying...man it was sad.....

And on top of that as we went to pick her car up last night her friend called us up and asked her to borrow some money like $200 and my g'friend actually took the money out her bank account and gave it to her before we got the car back.....now my girl smells like fish, (and she spent all night scrubbing the scent outta the front seats and rugs but it's still there alittle bit), and she's crying

every other minute and now we gotta go to this graduation party that cost us $1285!!!!
I'm so pissed right now!!!!! I was like fcuk that I'm staying home tonight!!

Worst I ever got was "You will have to have it towed 'cuz it just quit on me" The rod sticking out the side of the block was a good clue of why it Just quit

Long time ago though and I failed at shortening his life

It was initially fly to Atlanta, then we changed to drive to Virginia Beach...not it may just be driving to NEw Jersey and hanging out on Jersey's south shore down by Cape May.

I didn't go to the party last night, I was really exhausted, After work I went home, did laundry and cleaned out my car and tried to check my brakes. Apparantly I took very bad advice from my girlfriend last week and sprayed WD40 on the rotors to stop what i thought was sqealing sounds...now my brakes seem to be fading and not as potent anymore.....

I also discovered something very interesting wired inside my car whiles cleaning my rear ashtray area....I'll post it up in the E36 section....

They are supposed to have max friction, but it should burn off quickly

You take advice about fixing brakes by your g/f? Doesn't sound like a good idea.
