in my readings
so in my readings for various info pertaining to the triumph i discovered this.
1994 Rover Group sold to BMW; collaboration with Honda ends
2000 BMW decides to break up and sell the Rover empire; Land Rover sold to Ford
2000 Mini, Triumph, and Riley trademarks retained by BMW, but BMW's other interests sold off
2000 Remainder of company now independent as the MG Rover Group
2005 MG Rover goes to into receivership with huge debts, and production of all vehicles at the Longbridge plant is suspended.
now, reading in the new Car and Driver. MG has finaly gone belly up.
also in the article it said "MG rover was created in 200 when BMW sold the two brands ,MG and Rover, to a group of british businessmen for pocket-change sum of $16."
then goes on to say BMW gave them 900 mil as a "loan"
is that true
16$ thats a slap in the face!
I read that the Rover group is all done. Not a good thing in that neighborhood :dunno
