so...I got a random charge from my rental car company last week...I put a stop to teh payment, then today i got a letter stating my car was speeding at 1.30am on the 20th of February 2008.

luckily i wasnt driving at the time.

i wish i could read the rest of the ticket...but its in german.

wow 30 euros? standard speeding ticket here would be like $100(64 euro) and thats if youre catching a break.

dammit I got caught by a speed camera the first time in my life the last weekend
I picked up my mom from the university where she's working and she wanted me to drive... the University is located on a hill with a 50 kph zone all round... which is dumb because it's outside city limits and there are neither pedestrians nor bikers on the road
so yeah I went town the hill in NEUTRAL to save gas...
looked down and I saw the speed camera mounted on the ground. Caught me doing 71 or so.
I hope the error of measurment in the speedo and the camera will save my ass from a 400 € ticket
b/c I'm in my 2nd year of driving so any ticket with 20 kph over the limit will require you to do a 300 € driver training

The picture shows two frames (at least the ones I've seen). One is of the car plates and the other of the people in the front seat. Soooooo, unless you can prove it was a holographic image of you...........

that sucks man...can you fight tickets in germany? If you have some common sense and maybe a lawyer in the US u can get out of almost anything.

If you are a Soldier, get your wallet ready because they wil get their money. It's hard to beat when it's your face behind the wheel. But i really don't know. I'm still waiting for my 30 day suspension for 40KPH over the limit on a 120KPH zone. and that one is levied by the German authorities by what I understood after a Captain we had here got one.

You exceeded the speed limit outside city limits by 17 kph. Speed limit: 60 kph. Your speed: 77 kph.

Proof: Photo, piezoelectric measurement.
Witness: GOLDBERG, ZBS ARTERN (?????)

The back mailing of the questionnaire is unnecessary if the responsible person is accepting the warning and agreeing to pay the fine of 30,00 Euros within one week stating the file number and license plate.
Please only fill out the form and send it back when you defeat this warning and don't pay the fine
