Full Test: 2008 BMW 135i Coupe
http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/1....f34.1.160.jpgBMW shoehorns the killer 300-horsepower twin-turbocharged engine from the 335i under the hood of the diminutive 1 Series rear-drive coupe, creating the 2008 BMW 135i. It's super, but not super size.

i love the door panels. that car is maybe my favorite of all bmw's. im hoping there will be one in my future
|
OK... So I drove it today
The car is very torque and you can tell it's faster than the 3-series. The brakes and acceleration both feel great! I really like how on the interior BMW did it so that the center console is tilted towards the driver again. The thing I didn't like is the suspension, the car feels really high, on the 3's I feel comfortable throwing it around on a turn, the M3's ask you to throw them around in turns, but I didn't in the 1, it would most definetely need to be dropped. But I don''t know, I mean that's just how I felt about it. Would I buy one, maybe in a year, but if the 3 series coupe is only a few bucks more in the same range of options then I'd do a 3-series |
