Firstly, how old are you? Do you have any points against you?
Since the bike is so inexpensive you should probably only get liability insurance, and whatever medical coverages they allow with liability only. Uninsured motorists coverage would be advisable as well.
I will guess that you will be looking at between $75 and $150 per month if you are under 25 years of age. If you are older and have no points I would guess it will be $75 per month or less.

nope, no points against me and im 18. and yes, it will be on liability. nothing i own is on full coverage. haha. $75 a month wouldnt be too bad. i guess ill just see what the insurance company tells me
a buddy of mine drives a Honda CB500 and pays 150 $/year for liability
but that's German prices (higher than in the US, normally)
btw I'd take a Honda, Kawasaki or Yamaha instead of a Suzuki. No offense, Amanda, but IMO Suzukis suck. They are cheap, but they don't have the best performance/price ratio...
on the other hand a Suzi or a Honda are great for starters...
can you post some pics of the bike?
btw I wouldn't start with a 750ccm class bike...that's seriously too much power. Go 500 or sth like that... 750 can be really dangerous

i knew someone would say that. but, its not my first bike. i used to race a kx250 when i was 15 at a local track and i had one big race in a stadium in colorado springs, but i sold the bike to buy my first car. i recently bought a small 1970's 150cc bike from a friend for $25 and i rememberd how fun it was to ride one. haha. so yes, i have pleanty of experiance with a bike.

Hahaha! $75 a month. Seriously? I pay $15 a month. I am 21, I have 5 points on my license and I ride a 500cc Suzuki. Sport bikes are not more expensive to insure. Larger cc's are. Oh, and go with Progressive. Gieco wanted to charge me $550 a year. I laughed.

...you are also a girl.
You are also at the upper part of the lower cc limit... eg.. 500cc and below... lower rates.... Above 500cc.... higher rates.
There are other considerations as well. I told him he should add UIM and MED coverages just in case.
Women get an avg. of 15% to 35% lower rates because they are supposedly less likely to cause an accident or get traffic citations.
