Are you in the military?
 

Alright I always thought there were only like two people on here that were in the military but the post your mug thread showed a few more than I expected. If you feel like it post where you are/were stationed and all that. I'm a plebe at the United States Merchant Marine academy. No this isn't the newest academy, the Airforce Academy is. And yes it does exist on Long Island and no it's not SUNY Maritime. I am going out to sea from June to November and then going back out the next March to November again. I was asked to be a DI so that might screw things up but I haven't decided yet. Anyway what branch are you, specialty, and/or anything else you feel like talking about.

Army, going on 22 years with 2 more to go. Stationed in Germany right now. Used to be a Duck hunter (Short range Air Defense, GOD I MISS MY DIVISIONAL DAYS:bawling:bawling) now I'm an Operations NCOIC.

Army Here Also 20 Years 4 months. I am on Schofield in Hawaii. I am the BN ERD NCOIC used to be SPO Maint NCOIC before they changed everything around. Will be here till late 09 or possibly 10 depending on the usual cycle of deployments. Couple of more years and I am through. then I will get on with KBR and do a couple more years down range and retire for good!!!

PS...I miss Germany wish I was there and not here!!!

Well... I figured if you weren't in the military you wouldn't select one of the options. Ergo, therefore hencforth? you can figure how many people are in the military by adding up those in the poll, and those that aren't by subtracting that number from the total. Anyway I was to lazy and it's too late now unless I remake the thread and get this one deleted which would in fact mean that I wasn't lazy if I was willing to do that. And thusly create a black hole of death and destruction due to the fact that I would have lied...

Enlisted Army 7 years. Currently going through MEB. I gave em my best, but I guess my best wasnt good enough. I fell from a fuel truck in 03 and have had multiple surgeries on my left arm to no avail. I guess if I was right handed it would be a different story. Proud to serve. POL NCO.

i was also enlisted in the army, but went IRR in 2006. most of my time was spent at ft detrick. i was a 25L - cable/wire systems installer and maintainer which basically means i install and maintain telephone and networking.

Newbie to the Canadian Forces, been in about a year now. Im in the Airforce trainning to be an Aircraft Tech.

im not, but i hope to enlist after college. apply for OCS in the USMC. become an officer, and or go to DLI for Arabic.

smart move about becoming an officer but why not take ROTC during college after your second year you will get paid as an E5

You're obviously not a statistician then are you? The question was "military or not". Not "if you're in the military..."

And for the record. I'm not in the military.
