First Drive: 2008 BMW M3 Sedan
The 2008 BMW M3 Sedan will arrive in dealers in March, and we find no loss of M3 soul in this practical four-door version of BMW's most famous high-performance car with its 414-hp 4.0-liter V8.

That is 103.5 horsepower per liter. that is like my brother's Honda Accord with 227.7 horsepower!! (currently at 110). wow BMW engines pack so much power into the size of their engines. The new Corvette ZR1 is considered Chevy's most powerful engine (the LS9) which has 100 hp/L (620 hp, 6.2L), and that is a supercharged engine! and BMW does better with natural aspiration! crazy.

I don't know if the sedan will be as good as the coupe, also the m3 itself is not that quick it only runs 4.6 0-60 and the 335 runs 4.8. I would rather get a 335 than an m3. By getting a 335 you can save money and put money into the engine and make it way faster than the m3.

After experiencing a e46 330ci and then a e46 m3 there is no comparison in the cars, im sure this should be the same way yes the 335 is a little closer but still way off the m3 mark, an M3 is the real deal and I would spend the money on it if I had that much money to throw around.
Just as a comparision the official 335 lap time of the nurburgring is 8.26, the new m3 is 8.05, thats a pretty big difference on that track. Even the e46 m3 came in at 8.22 so its still faster then a 335.

But you are forgetting that fact that the m3 is about 30k more than the 335 and with the money you save you can tune the turbos, get a better suspension so that if you go to the track and race an M3 you will kill it.
