Hey Hey Hey!!!
How in the world is everybody doing????
Just as an update.....
I graduated college from Wichita State University (Go Shockers!!!) in May of 2007. I applied mainly in the Pacific NW (because I lived there for 10 years) and wanted to get back to the area, plus I got re-acquainted with an elementary school friend who is now my gf.
I got a job in Seattle, Washington and now live in Queen Anne.
I'm saving and thinking which will be my 1st BMW? What do YOU think I should get? I've got several realistic ideas in mind but haven't narrowed it down quite yet because I'm still saving.
Here is the top picks in no particular order:
1. e39 2003 540i Sport (Auto)...just like my sig. @ $30K
2. e39 2003 M5 @ $40K
3. e60 2005/2006 550i Auto/SMG. Sport, Premium, and Cold Weather @ $40K-$45K
I want an 08 550i Sport, but those are like @$60K-$70K used. Too high.
4. e63/e64 2004-2005 645i @ $35-$40K
I would like an 06 650i but those are @ $50K
5. e65 2003-2004 760Li, V12 Luxury baby! @ $40K-$45K
I can't wait to get through all the threads to see what everybody has been up to!!!
And....somebody please help me think of a new title!
welcome back sir. what did you graduate with? (degree?)
congrats. Good to see you back. Hows the snow up there? My friend lives in seattle. Its a sweet city.

sweet.
used bimmers are trashing cheap in the US right now... that's weird b/C normally used cars are cheaper in Germany than in the US
I'd go for the M, but why don't you want an M3? Do you need 4 seats?

1 Series? Haven't driven one. Anyone drive one??....throw your 2 cents on how they drive. I'd have to drive it to find out, but right now, not quite sure.
Thanks Numark318! I graduated with a degree in Business Administration: Concentration Finance. Now working as an Industrial Engineer! I love it!
Snow? We've seen snow flurries in the city, but nothing sticks or stays too long. Warms up to 40-45 and everything is gone. Plus, it rains and melts all the snow. I love Seattle!
Craig, Destroyer of the Worlds.....love it! I'm glad I got out of Kansas. Seattle is AWESOME!
Celsdogg, e60 at the bottom? The 550i is hawt! Plus, being auto/SMG, my gf can drive it. Queen Anne hill is steep, a manual would be hard, unless you stick it in 2nd and push on. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for your input.
Denyo....Why not M3? If I were to do an M3, it would have to be a late e46, SMG. Yeah, I should put that in the list too. Yeah, 4 seats is nice if I have friends or all want to go out to dinner. That's why I was shooting for an e39 or e60, but I'm young and should have a sports car. What better sports car other than an M qualifies? Nothing Mercedes interests me, Not the G35/G37, Not the Z....probably a Z06, but that would be about it. Just my personal thoughts.
Anywho...Glad to be back at UB! Long live the Bimmers!!!

Welcome back! What does your job as an industrial engineer entail? I would suggest going for a car on the lower end of the price spectrum to save your other cash, but that said do what you like. Buy an e30!

What up buddy. Welcome back to the NW. I would lean toward the e39 M5. Can't go wrong with the performance, looks and style. I am a fan of the 540, stick around and maybe you can buy mine. Love the 550, but have never driven one. The 7 series is too big for me. Drop me a line. I p/med you my phone number.
Congrats on the graduation. I am having some friends over to watch the Giants for the Superbowl if you are interested in coming by.

My job as an IE is basically a coordinator. I make schedules, plans....talk to different departments, make sure departments are communication to each other so that we all are on one page...manufacturing, management, etc.
I also relate status and how to make things better, more improved processes.
Celsdogg- Yeah, I know what you mean, I just like to get people's personal opinions.
I can't wait either.
Amanda-I'm glad to see your face around here again too! I'm ready to hear that you now own an e36 M3!
Paul-Thanks! Yeah, maybe I will have to buy yours...I know you take good care of your baby...and I LOVE Black! We'll have to see! Sent you a PM.
