Wait, is this the movie that was named '01.18.08' for a while? I refuse to go see based on the fact they tried to trick me into seeing it by not naming it. Stupid.

what if it's one of those HD or non-volitile memory cams?
mmaybe, but the "shake and drop" effects of the footage closely resemble digital tape. i believe there are no current solid state memory that can hold 60-90min of footage for cameras. i could be wrong though.
**SPOILER: if no one knows, do investigate cloverfield online. there is a phenomenal back story (true from the studios/director) being surfaced. Like Rob was going to work for a Jap company that built an oil rig in the atlantic ocean which was not near any oil sites...as well as the exact spot where the creature surfaced. This ties in with the oil tanker that was shown in the film that sank. This company was also in charge of Slusho, a very addictive beverage with a special ingredient.
In the final shot of the film at coney island, a satellite crashed and sank into the ocean...supposedly owned by this japanese company.

I saw is last night. I sure am glad I got a boot leg for 4 bucks. Only down fall is its some guy sitting in the movies filiming it so the picture was dark and people kept staing up in the begining.
Only good part of it I thought was when the movie ended someone in the audience shoted "That Movie Sucked"
Which it did.

haha.
I dont get it.
what didnt people like about it? For what its worth its only a monster movie. and they did a much better job at making the camera shake less "idiotic" then for example the blair witch.

People don't like that it didn't answer any questions. Girls probably don't like that it wasn't a happy ending. I appreciate it when things just end. There will probably be a sequel anyway.

most certainly there will be a sequel. after the credits there is an audio clip that says "It's still alive" in reverse
I didn't see Cloverfield but I heard it was the stupidest movie. I also heard it was a newer version of Godzilla.
go watch it.
