E34 M5
I didn't get a car yet but I have enough money. I was bored I was looking on ebay for M5's and I saw a lot of E34's. Has anyone heard anything about them? Are there a lot of mods you can do to it?

All I know about them is there expensive to keep up with things fail. Depending on what year and US or Euro you get your looking at 310hp to 340hp. The engines tend to have oil leaks. Its hard to find them with low miles, some with 170K asking $16k which is crazy.
Not to many mods that I have seen out there. Other then wheels, brakes, some minor engine enhancements, unless you do some sort of custom work I think there fine as they are.
And I want one too.

As far as mods, you can do more than that. I haven't really looked into it, but there are always cosmetic mods that you can do. I'm pretty sure you can also chip it, get sway bars, open up the intake and exhaust, etc. Of course, it's a great car without all of that.
an M5 doesn't need mods
and yes, the e34 are known to be expensive in maintenance, and there'll be a lot o problems
also, have you ever tried to get ///M-specific parts?
they're expensive as hell
