Wow nice scare, I thought the car with the most torque on the forum was history. How did the radiator start leaking?

it wasnt the radiator, i blew a heater hose. aka, the hose the goes to the heater core. i was taking my pickup for a cruise because i got some money for graduation and actualy had gas in the tank. haha. but, i hit the gas pretty hard, hit 5K RPM(alot for those old engines, owners manual only recomends 3,500) and shifted, then i noticed there was water spraying on my window, looked behind me, saw smoke. first thought: OH CRAP! i though i blew something major, but the smoke was coming from the coolent hitting my headers. alls good now. took me about 10 minutes to get it running again.
