hey guys. I am doing a college project right now, actually heading off to college in a little over a year. But I was wondering what you guys all brought to your dorms and how you decked them out. Also share any fun stories you had there.

Bring a computer with a tv-tuner card, and lotssa alcohol. Maybe include a blanket as well.

ok i didnt bring any.. but there was lots of it...oh and bring a pen and a notebook and some textbooks.. they might come in handy..

but seriously, people did lofts.. we didnt bother.. too much work for a short period of time..

lol that was one night haha i have tooooons more but i didnt want to bore everyone with them lol. on a side note pepermint schnaps (sp?) and chocolate milk is a wonderful thing.

I was looking around to see what people had done to their dorms to make life a little more liveable with the limited space and got a lot of suggestions on what to do in college.

-loft beds to save room
-hang curtains over windows and around beds (provides privacy for yourself and... *cough* others)
-Invest in nice computer speakers as that will be your stereo
-Get computer with flat screen to save desk space
-get minifridge, microwave, etc.
-when shopping for furniture hit up thrift shops.
-buy cheap thick books and cut out middle of pages and hide your flasks, narcotics, etc. for when your RA comes on those suprise inspections.
-put a lock on the fridge, RA can't search what he can't open.

My roommate and I had two lofted beds, 2 tv's, 15" subwoofer, computer running the stereo, love seat, 2 foot bong, gravity bong, a wet bar, minifridge full of beer, and a drawer full of condoms. Though we got kicked out after one semester for bringing in a keg and toking in the room, but we moved into the Fraternity instead and that is where all the fun began. Good luck.
