Vacation...finally

Alright so im fliying to Florence Italy from San Francisco on Monday the 11th of February, coming back on Sunday the 24th. Going with two other buds.

Anyone have ideas where i can get cheap tickets? Ive tried all of the usual websites and the lowest i have found is $675. If we fly back on monday the 25th its $650...otehrwise cant find em lower. any ideas?

Guess we are flyign to florence where we know a girl from High school whos on an exchange program over there. Shes gonna take us around italy. Rome, Venice, Florence...etc. Then well fly to Dublin for a few days and then to Germany. Where i plan to bring an extra $500 to rent a car for the day. Hopefully a very fast BMW.Stay in Frankfurt for a couple days and train back to italy.
Sites are all planned out, and the hostels are lined up. Cant wait.

Im farking pumped. Gonna take $2000 for spending plus $500 for a car rental in germany(autobahn...yes...think ill get the insurance).

Oh wow. I can't wait to find out what car you get in Germany. I'm sure you know, but it can't hurt to mention that the Autobahn is one place to be good about lanes and signals (keeping to the right as much as possible etc) Have a great trip!

The ticket price sounds reasonably good I reckon. Make sure you pack in as much to do in Dublin if you're only here for a few days. Lots to do.

are you above 21? Because afaik car rental is only allowed if you're above 21...
the cars in Frankfurt are some of the best... take Europcar, or Sixt, they offer the best service and price

uh... take the A45 to the Sauerland Region... it's curvy and w/o speed limits...
most of the Autobahns around Frankfurt have a 120 speed limit... or 180.
For a car: You can go and reserve a car ahead, that will avoid you getting a car you don't want. If you would go with a Diesel, there's alway's a fleet of 530d's around at the Frankfurt Airport... or you could opt for a 3-Series, but most of those are 320i or 320d...
the 320i sucks. Period. Also, keep in mind that fuel in Germany is really expensive, at the moment (Super 98) at 1.36 Euros per liter, that's about 2 Dollars for a quarter gallon. So 8 bucks per gallon. Thanks god I live near Switzerland... where gas is still about 5 bucks per gallon.
