So who has dropped a Class?

So, im pass my eligability to drop with out a "w"..but im pretty sure im gonna fail this calculus class. First test was a 58% and i have no clue whats going on.

So...Im thinking a W is better then a lwoered GPA. if i get the W i wont retake the class, ill just take financial math(shoulda done that in the first place..) : )

so....what do you guys think

ideas as to what my transfer college is gonna say?

It's probably better. Calculus looks like a useless math to me

I have only nearly failed a class (1.0 for the win) but never dropped one. If you can still get your money back drop it.

i droped 1 class
failed 1 class
the fail really hurt my GPA. i strongly advise droping it if you can.

i droped a spanish class after the instructor called on me to answer a question. i said i dont know. and he proceeded to lecture me. i was in no mood to listen to him so i argued back. went soemthing like this

"what is el cock sucko mean? mr hopkins"
"no idea"
"ofcourse you dont know cause you dont study! why dont you study?"
"cause i despise spanish, it sucks"
"youv never given it a chance"
"iv completed 2 years in highschool, 1 year in college and this class is my 2nd college level spanish. iv given it a chance and it sucks, the books suck, the proffessors suck, this class sucks"

i withdrew the next class. and am currently enrolled in arabic. and love it.

Exclamation Drop...

Had the same issue with Calculus the first time I took it. But, I could not drop it (not allowed at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy).

Made an ***F***... the only ***F*** I ever made. It felt terrible.

The second time through I eeked out a ***B***. Much better.

Net resultant Calculus avg. (an F is a killer)... ***C-***.
It is ALWAYS better to drop and get the WP (withdraw passing).

whitey, that kind of talk would be blasphemy on my campus. And Numark, I would drop it. If you don't know what's going on in Calc, you never will. Everything builds on the previous thing. Plus, one WD isn't that bad. One of my roommates has dropped 5-7 classes and still gets interviews for internships.

do they offer a conceptual math course?

my SAT's were good so i only had to take one math, and it was a conceptual course basicly about patterns and cyphering. led by a mathmatician who turned down a job with the CIA to teach, AWESOME class
