hit and run
 

Hey everyone I have not been posting much lately, mostly due to starting college classes on top of finishing high school. Earlier today I met my mom at home depot real quick to look at some appliances for a business she is starting and when I was leaving A tan Dodge Intrepid came flying into the parking lot across all the spaces. I swerved but he still hit me on the drivers side starting at the rear wheel and then all the way down the rest of the car. He then proceeded to drive away, faster then he came in... I was already parked with the car turned off by the time I realized he was leaving or I would have followed him for the plate number. I got out of my car cursing very loudly and called 911 and my mom. She is the owner on paper. Some people looking at boats saw it, but they didn't get the plate # either. So the hick ass marana police department came out and basically told us we were fucked. I don't think they even looked for the car. The damage isn't that bad, I think that there might be a little bit of a dent from the back of the wheel to the end of the car. It scraped the paint and the plastic trim though. My wheel also has a little bit of damage. I am so pissed off that the cops didn't even bother to look for him or anything. I can post pictures later if any of you want to see it. We can't even make an insurance claim because there is no collision on my car. I'm going to get estimates tomorrow or tuesday probably. I just hope none of you ever have to deal with a hit and run. I feel so violated. I didn't see his car where he hit me, but the people that saw it said it was pretty damaged. There was stuff flapping around. All that I can say now is Karma is a bitch. :(

That sucks. I've been in 3 hit-and-runs, lol. (I wasn't driving in all of them). People are jerks.

What a scum bag. Have the area cops keep a look for that damage to the other car and call the body shops to see if they come in to fix their car. Oh, and then do something, like :gun

I was in a hit and run when I first moved here. The guy turned himself in later that day.

That sucks man. Again nothing you can do but be better than the scum that wrongs you.

Mexico is an hour away--Anything stolen or anyone wanting a quick getaway is gone for good before the ink is dry on the police report. Actually most of the time before the police arrive at the scene.

I loved the climate while I was living down there but don't think that I could ever go back. I would probably be carjacked at gunpoint for the 840 in the first month.

It's not quite that bad.. at least not in the oro valley area, but as soon as I can I am leaving. I can't beleive how many people are in hit and runs. How could someone do that?

I don't really get this part :(

"Collision" is the part of insurance that covers repairs on your own car after an accident
