I'll say this honestly...I hope your friend makes it and recovers fully so that he could enjoy the billions of dollars that he should be sueing the State of California for!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it goes to show that anyone can really mess up! The worst part was leaving though. An injured person in the water unable to help himself... Well we all get the idea. Very glad to hear that treatment to date is going well!

Usually in settlements like this the responsible party pays for the medical bills PLUS any compensation.

they will be paying for that too! not that money should even matter in this! since he might not ever be the same again.... but atleast him and his family will have some compensation (spelling?) in money...

I cant beleive it was a cop that hit him, pardin my french, but that is fucked up in more than one way...

I'm sure your friend will have little or no trouble getting the funds to compensate for this event. If i were the police department I would fire that guy, jail him, and pay what was needed as to keep it hush hush, the last thing the police need is one more reason for people to hate them.

i believe that it was already on the new that the driver was LAPD. so if this thing gets big there will probably be no way for them to cover it up
