Very sorry.

appology accepted.

I am not sure what laws he actually broke. Probably DUI for boating, and if my friend is able to pull through hemight be charged with something similar to attempted manslaughter. If he doesn't make it they will probably charge him with manslaughter or some count of murder. Any lawyers out there that would know better than me? I am pretty much just guessing on this

sometimes i think the best form of punishment is the same offence, so in this case, have him on a jetski and have somone smash into him, then see how he feels

eye for an eye type of guy huh? anyways i hope all the sugerys go without a problem! Not to be thinking about it to much but since you brought up lawyers etc, if he does (which we all hope he does) make it through he could/will see some good money coming his way... granted his body will never ever be the same.

Real, im sorry about your friend. And as for the DUI thing, its the same as if you were driving a car drunk and hit someone. Depends on if your friend lives, and what the police want to charge him with. he may also get hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident (if it applies).

good thing your friend didnt get hit in the head or anything.. hope it all goes well.. i used to swim out in a local lake, and once in a while i'd head a boat drive by and that would scare the shit out of me.. id always stop every once in a while and just look.. around where i lived it was a redneck boating community, so half were probably drunk most of the time

Well I am sorry for what your friend is going through! Very relieved he is alive and in care. That DUI moron has his coming: DUI on boats = DUI in cars these days! I am a major boater, but more the ocean sailing - sportfish type and I know my boating

dude! that is out of control. I really hope your friend is ok. People that can't responsibly handle their alchohol and motor vehicles get absolutely no sympathy from me. I am really glad they caught that bastard.

Keep us posted, it sounds like your friend is getting the best medical attention available which is really good. I hope he pulls through.

^^yeah that is what i was thinking... not to get to for off of subject but isnt it crazy how fast someones life can change (both adams friend and the boater) adams friend will never be the same and the boaters life is going tobe screwed.... makes you think about thinking about each of your actions dont it?

^^^ya, its life-threatening or life-changing situations that totally alter your mindset for the rest of your life. For example I knew a girl who was never religious, but when she almost died one night she found god. For myself, I got in an accident (small), and from now on I am really concious of the space between myself and other cars, cars are built strong, but metal can bend like paper at high speeds, imagine what a human body does.
